A LIMITLESS DIGITAL UNIVERSE
We are still in the early days of what we are calling The Metaverse, and the pioneering spirit of this new paradigm is filled with innovators who are capable of thinking of, and most importantly, building, new ways to expand the human experience through the use of technology.
THE HEART-CENTERED DROP

Enter CHRYSANTHEMUM: The Heart-Centered Drop, 1,440 biometric NFTs which incorporate biofeedback to guide breathing and harmonize with your heartbeat. In partnership with the design studio, Luminance, we have created this collection to advance our shared mission of providing a uniquely compelling, actionable entry point into the mindful metaverse. Designed by Daniel Friedman of Luminance, with sound design by David Starfire of TRIPP, the NFT collection leverages science and research-backed biofeedback to support interactive, meditative experiences. This revolutionary approach to binaural audio design adjusts to the beat and frequencies of a user’s heart, and for further immersion, holders can enable audio feedback to listen to sound frequencies generated by their own heart, with sound and music library provided by GRAMMY-nominated artists, Justin Boreta and Matt Davis of Superposition. Each session with the NFT is unique and leads to deeper states of peace drawing upon an infinite amount of psychedelic-inspired designs, colors, and patterns that can be changed with a click. This approach to distribute transformative experiences rooted in science and research in the format of an NFT is a shift in how to use the blockchain to promote wellness. Further, Luminance and TRIPP are committed to turning generative art into re-generative art by supporting regenerative agriculture in their local bioregions. 10% of TRIPP’s proceeds from the sale of Chrysanthemum NFTs will go to treepeople.org in the Greater Los Angeles area, and 10% of Luminance’s proceeds will go to tree planting initiatives at True North in Hudson, NY.
Chrysanthemum is the first generative NFT using biofeedback to support wellness. It is an invitation to merge the body, mind, heart and breath together in harmony.

A COMMON PULSE
While the patterns and colors of each Chrysanthemum are unique, they all share a common pulse. At the center of each is a Rainbow Aura that acts as a guide for breathing — inhale as it expands and exhale as it contracts.
Whenever two or more people breathe along with Chrysanthemum, they will be breathing in and out together, no matter where they are in the world. Thus, Chrysanthemum enables a global network of synchronized, mindful breathing.
This pattern of smooth, rhythmic respiration is thought to have a beneficial effect on the nervous system.
While breathing with Chrysanthemum is a powerful journey in its own right, we are offering the possibility to dive even deeper into your heart space using biofeedback.
INTERACTING WITH CHRYSANTHEMUM
In tandem with the Heart-Centered Drop, Chrysanthemum is launching an accompanying web app, chrysanthemum.app. The app is a platform for each Chrysanthemum owner to experience an audio-visual biofeedback journey guided by their own heart, powered by the Chrysanthemum NFT.
Connect your heartbeat to the app via a bluetooth heart rate monitor, and your heart’s rhythm will alter the colors and patterns of your Chrysanthemum in real time. For further immersion, enable audio feedback to listen to sound frequencies generated by your own heart played back to you.
HEART RATE MONITOR INCLUDED FOR FIRST 50 MINTS

The Self Guided Biofeedback currently works on the following platforms: * Desktop browsers – Chrome, Opera * Android browsers – Chrome, Opera * iPhone browser – Bluefy (Safari not supported)
THE SCIENCE
Scientists have recognized measuring heart rate variability (HRV), the variation in time between heartbeats, as a powerful tool for assessing the health of our nervous system, evaluating emotional stability, and detecting real-time state changes within the body. [4]
Studies have demonstrated that even non-meditators can easily synchronize their breath and heartbeat through slow, smooth, rhythmic breathing. [5]
What is the philosophy of coherent breathing?
Coherent breathing is smooth, rhythmic, slow and often gently focused on the heart center.
The fundamentals of breath and what some call “heart coherence” are illuminated by Alan Watkins in his TED talk.
The breathing rate of Chrysanthemum is set to 0.0959 Hz, or one full breath every 10.427 seconds — these numbers are thought to be sacred in some philosophies.
Teaching your body to breathe smoothly and rhythmically has proven health benefits.
THE ARTISTIC PROCESS
Then, in a moment of inspiration, they realized they could combine its fractal imagery with another algorithm they’d developed to translate heartbeats into usable audiovisual cues.
The soundtrack for Chrysanthemum is a collaboration between Luminance and TRIPP, who has provided music stems composed by Grammy Award Nominated artists Justin Boreta (Glitch Mob) and Matt Davis of Superposition. Each Chrysanthemum incorporates a truly unique sound experience that harnesses the power of biofeedback to develop personalized binaural audio that is tuned to your heartbeat, and a dynamic musical score that changes with every session. Additional sound design has been provided by award-winning musician, David Starfire, who is the head of Music and Sound at TRIPP.
CHRYSANTHEMUM CAN MAKE US SEE NATURE MORE DEEPLY
As we connect more deeply with ourselves and our environment, mindfulness practices help remind us that we are, in fact, nature itself. By learning to slow our breathing, we establish a connection to the internal landscape that facilitates a deeper awareness of the rhythms of nature. You may even begin to see the glowing Rainbow Aura of Chrysanthemum illuminated with effortless beauty around candle flames, or the sun and moon in the sky, and remember, in that child-like wonder, that magic is everywhere.
PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE
Luminance and TRIPP are committed to turning generative art into re-generative art by supporting regenerative agriculture in their local bioregions.
10% of TRIPP’s proceeds will go to treepeople.org. The TreePeople organization advocates and works to support sustainable urban ecosystems in the Greater Los Angeles area.
10% of Luminance’s proceeds will go to tree planting initiatives at True North, a home for personal and planetary transformation in Hudson, NY.
