It’s been a busy and exciting year for us here at TRIPP!
This time last year we announced $4 million in funding led by Tim Chang, a partner at Mayfield, and we dove straight into creating transformative self-care and wellness experiences that are digitally delivered, with our first offering in VR.
We then welcomed Justin Boreta to the TRIPP team as our Creative Director along with his partner Matthew Davis to help build an adaptive sound layer for the company (a critical element in delivering the efficacy of our product).
As we have been working hard on building the TRIPP platform during the last year, we have doubled the size of our development team in both our Chicago and Culver City offices to work with our technology leaders, Andreja Djokovic and Hyosung Han.
Now, we have more news to share: we’re thrilled to announce that Mani Srinivasan, has joined TRIPP’s leadership team as TRIPP’s SVP & Head Business Development!
Mani brings nearly 20 years of experience in strategy, business development and sales to our team. Throughout his career, Mani has worked with top media and technology organizations, including Disney, Qualcomm, and Comcast NBCUniversal, as well as privately held ventures. He was instrumental in helping these companies innovate, scale platforms, build partnerships and grow revenue.
Beyond his business savvy, tech and content sensibilities, as a yoga enthusiast and meditation practitioner, Mani has a deep passion for and understanding of what we’re building at TRIPP. He will play a vital role in driving the next phase of the company as we bring our well-being focused immersive technology offerings to the market.
We’ve been hyper-focused on building our initial product to provide the best possible VR experience that helps people achieve a heightened state of mindfulness and positively shifts their mood. Throughout the development process, we identified a growing need for TRIPP’s immersive VR offering in today’s modern corporation.
Workplace stress and disengagement cause an annual loss of $850 billion in the U.S. alone. As a result, organizations are increasingly turning to meditation and related wellness activities, but current offerings can be hard to adopt, costly and challenging to implement effectively.
Mani’s primary initial focus is to enable leading companies, specialized firms, and other top organizations around the world to benefit from TRIPP’s offerings. We can’t wait to bring TRIPP into businesses to provide mindful breaks that improve how employees feel and facilitate greater productivity.
This is the first step of many to come in the next year as we make TRIPP available to people everywhere.
